We warmly invite you to a special kirtan event featuring esteemed Tabla player Maharshi Raval from Sydney, holistic voice therapist and singer Nataliya Derevyanko from Newcastle, and talented guitarist and composer Martin Rotolo, both members of the Singing Circle Newcastle.
Maharshi Raval @maharshi_raval is renowned for his Tabla mastery and founder of the Gajanan Cultural Mission, dedicated to promoting Indian classical music and dance in Australia.
Nataliya Derevyanko @the_singing_circle, facilitator of the Singing Circles in Newcastle, combines her classical music training from Turkmenistan with holistic voice therapy to bring healing through sound.
Martin Rotolo @rollymusicnewy is a versatile guitarist and composer known for exploring diverse musical styles, from Brazilian music to Jazz and Mantra, enriching our evening with vibrant melodies.

What is a mantra and kirtan?
A mantra (Manas = mind, Trana = to protect) consists of sounds or words chanted to protect and free the mind. Kirtan, a devotional practice from India, involves singing mantras together, fostering gratitude, emotional connection, and transformative energy.
